When you're thinking of having something built or renovated shopping
around for materials is a good place to start. We have put together
a list of vendor links to help you get prices as well as find
information on what materials are best for you. Get as much information
and variations of different products as you can. This will help
you save money and find the product that best suits your needs.
Architecture:
Depending on the size of your project you might need an architect.
To get a good estimate from a contractor an architects plans are
essential. SCC works with several architects that can give you
the best image of the finished product and help you decide the
best plan for your needs. If you have an architect that you would
like to use SCC will gladly work with them.
Estimates:
Getting more than one estimate is a good idea, we usually recommend
three. This will help you get an idea of how big of a project
you are faced with and it can help you find the most reasonable
price for the job. Most architects can recommend several contractors
for an estimate. Just remember that getting the best price sometimes
means you'll get unsatisfactory and even unsafe results. Make
sure that the contractor you choose has the experience and the
manpower to safely complete the job. |
